Thank You! Campaign to Transform Cancer Care Surpasses $1.2 Billion Goal

I’m very happy with how this video turned out. I did this piece for UT Television at MD Anderson Cancer Center, to thank donors who helped raise $1.2 Billion dollars to fight cancer. I did all of the motion graphics with After Effects, along with editing in Avid.

From the video’s YouTube description:

Thank You! Campaign to Transform Cancer Care Surpasses $1.2 Billion Goal In Record Time

This video is dedicated to our amazing donors. Thanks to you, MD Anderson completed the largest fundraising effort in its history four months early. Making Cancer History®: The Campaign to Transform Cancer Care raised $1.215 billion for personalized cancer care.

Doritos- Cut!

This is the team GoodBanana submission to the 2011 Doritos Crash the Super Bowl contest. The spot was directed by Kay Enis and Justin Back was the DP. I did the editing, and star as the Director. But let’s not forget: Gerald Guidry as the Bum! Brooks Lawson and Danny Perez as extras! And the fantastic field recording and sound design skills of Luke Odem!

This was a lot of fun to make, but like always- we did not win. Why? It’s probably not because the Dorito’s Crash the Super Bowl contest may be fixed? Oh well, at least we all got some great demo reel material out of the experience!

ASME Leadership Award- Susan Cunningham

This is a freelance video that I edited for Integrity Images. The video is a tribute to Susan Cunningham, of Noble Engery, who was the 2011 recipient of the ASME Leadership Award.

Editing was done using Premiere Pro and After Effects CS5.

Jamie Foust is Going Away!

This video is a tribute to Jamie Foust, done in the style of a fake news report. Jamie is one of my best friends, and she will be moving to Germany for the next two years starting in 2011.

I made this video with my wife Theresa, and a dozen more of our friends. Everything was shot with my Canon T2i, f1/8 50mm lens. Editing and Chroma-Key was done in After Effects and Premiere Pro CS5.

We’ll miss you Jamie!

Kid to Kid- How to Cope if your Parent has Cancer

This is really cool Educational Video that I worked on at UT Television, the video production department at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. This a MUST WATCH for anyone, it’s made for kids but is really effective at teaching ANYONE about cancer.

I was the Director and shot the video using a Sony EX3, with the exception of a few Canon T2i shots. I did all of the video and audio editing in Avid and After Effects. Motion Graphics were mainly done my Frank Castillo, myself and with backgrounds from Digital Juice. Jo LaCour served as producer and wrote the script with assistance from Marisa Minor, a Social Worker at MD Anderson’s Department of Social Work.

Glenn and Theresa Challenger- Wedding Video Recap

This is a recap video of the day when I married the coolest girl in the world.

I did the edited the piece. When I first started editing professionally (at Janis Productions) I did a ton of wedding videos to cut my teeth on the Avid. After I left that job, I vowed that I would only edit one more wedding: my own. So far I’ve lived up to my promise! Try not to get teary-eyed!

The video is edited to the song “Sea of Love” by Cat Power.

Pepsi Max- Hiccups

This the 30 second spot my team made for the 2010 Doritos/Pepsi Max Crash the Super Bowl contest. I wrote, directed and edited the piece. We didn’t win, but at least we made the popular blog Video Contest News’ list of Top 30 Pepsi Max CTSB Contenders.

Innovative Thinking

Innovative Thinking from Glenn Challenger on Vimeo.

This is the most creative industrial video I’ve had the pleasure to work on.

I worked on this video at UT Television (The Video Production Dept @ MD Anderson). It is to promote an “Innovative Thinking” course at the University of Texas School of Public Health (UTSPH).

I a big part in this one. I shot & directed it, I conceived of the visuals, did the editing, the illustrations and the graphics. I’m also the voice/mouth of the Little Green Man.

The original script was written by Roberta Ness, the Dean of UTSPH. The script was polished by Jo LaCour of UT Television, who also produced it. Special thanks to Shon Bower in the UTSPH Media Dept, who helped schedule the shoots and served as a go between.

OCS Training Institute Promo

This is a freelance project that I just completed for Integrity Images. I did all of the editing with an Adobe Production Premium CS5 suite (mostly After Effects and Premiere.)

This project was a lot of fun to edit. It is a promotional video for an Oil and Gas Training company called OCS Group.

Introduction to MD Anderson’s New Logo

Here is a video I did to introduce MD Anderson’s new logo in 2010. This was done as part of my work at UT Television. I did the editing and the visual effects.

Galveston Sunrise

Edit montage shot during and after sunrise on East Beach in Galveston, TX on 12/15/10

I used a Canon T2i with the 18-55mm kit lens.

I created the timelapses by taking a photo every 5 seconds
